Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:21 pm

Today my game went nuts it seems FOMM is not working right. There were about 10 similiar posts from over the last 3 days on the nexus. Anyone know what is going on?

An official patch is supposedly coming very very soon. Who knows, it could have already hit and thats the side-effect of the new patch?

I've currently have my FNV set to not autoupdate so I dont know really.

Hmmmmm I knew it was going but the others on the forums said their trouble started a few days ago. Wouldn't we all been patched at once?

I'm not sure what all your talking about, but FOMM crashes on me at the end of creating an FMod from folder/archive.
The FMod gets created ok. I have to reload FOMM to activate the new mod, but everything seems to be working ok.

This started almost a week ago.

Everything suddenly went crazy, Invalidation isn't working, FOMM keeps crashing etc.. I tried to reinstall it but it had no effect and the patch is not due untill tomorrow, so I doubt it is that. There were like 10 others with the same problem in just the last week that posted on nexus.

Long shot here, did you just install a new FOMMod? Anything else change? Even the smallest thing could mean the whole deal.

I had an issue with Oblivion that made people scratch their heads until someone just said "try reinstalling M$'s C+ redistributables". And it worked, even when Oblivion didnt need any of that.

It seems it was the XFO mod. I mean how crazy an AI mod that blew the game apart I never would have guessed.

Ok I swear I'm going to go nuts!!!!
I deactiivated everything from the last week then slowly started to reactivate. My game went nuts when I installed XFO, so I though it was that. Then after deactivatiing XFO it was still borkd. I though it might have effected rePopulated wasteland so I deactivated that. After all this it worked fine, for hours, now suddenly textures went funny again after hours of playing.

Any ideas?

What happens to the textures after hours of playing? Because that could be caused by a Heat Issue on your graphics card

I get missing and distorted textures, ESC won't work, and I cannot open containers.
