Seems so. I've been trying to download something from TES Nexus the whole day and had no luck.

source?

Yep, DDoS attack:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /home/vegas/public_html/includes/mysql.php on line 25The forum MySQL database is currently down. This problem normally sorts itself very quickly. Please come back a little later.

The too many connections part is what makes me believe it's that.

That's the error I got after refreshing the Nexus for a bit.

Too many possible answers; Some people just have grudges is all.

Just wait it out. There really isn't much we can do besides that.

The staff there aren't exactly the friendliest of people... but that's no reason to hack the site.

There was a news item a week or so ago about a script kiddy who threw a tantrum when he got banned and DDosed Nexus. Presumably he's found a way around their protections.

Why doesn't this surprise me? What, does the person, or group for that matter, think that a DDos attack will garner them their accounts back, or make anything better? I don't know if this is possible, but maybe there is someway to track the source of the attack, and bring legal suit against them?

some of the times to bring sites like that down you need multiple people to do a DDos attack

It should be back up right now btw. Some users, including me, have been able to load pages successfully without fail.

Threads like this give those script kiddie brats the attention that they don't deserve.
If it's the same guy he'll be bragging and posturing all over his twitter page about it,
let it stay there, that way he can be a "Legend in his own Mind"
