After returning my copy of new vegas on 15th dec due to freezing issues,i decided that on the results of the awaited patch i would contemplate buying it again,which i have now done via a top class price of ￡25 from a well known record store (you know who you are! and thankyou!).
I have now spent around 30 hours playing this fantastic game without glitches or freezing and i am well chuffed to say the least.
I have noticed that a number of members on this site are still having issues even after the patch has been released.
May i suggest to all new vegas players that they turn off all automatic gamesave options from the menu and only create them manually via the start button,i have done this myself and can honestly say i think this is the only reason i've been able to play through 30 hours without freezing issues.

I've had no freezes in my current playthrough. I'm over 30 hours in as well. I haven't had to turn autosave off either.

My previous playthrough started before the patch and that used to freeze a lot even after the game was patched.

So maybe new games started after the patch are less likely to freeze than games that were started before.

that could be the case,i've still had the odd radscorp tail glitch sticking out of the ground but overall have enjoyed every last second of this game!
Oh looky here it's raining,what a great exuse to swap work for new vegas,now where are those powder gangers!
