I have to say I love this game and have only encountered a few minor glitches. However I recently ran into one that will not allow me to finish the quest for the republic part 2.


I went to the hover dam in order to protect the presidIent for the quest for the republic part 2, and also the optional "protect president kimball" quest for yesman in the quest wild card: finishing touches. After protecting the president I talked to ranger grant and he said "good job today" and I talked to the comander lady in the office and she still says I need you to protect the president even though I did already.

It might help the devs to know that after I provided the protection, the optional protect the president in the "finishing touches" quest was marked as completed while the president protection for the republic 2 quest had stopped updating with new objectives after the "talk to ranger grant about protecting president kimball during the visit." After talking to ranger grant BEFORE protecting the president there was no new objective bullet for that quest, so I think that may be part of the problem.

I know my situation is weird because I am doing the protecting for two different quests, one being an optional objective, but I have heard people having the same problem when only doing the for the republic part 2 by its self. I think it may have to do with the quest not updating with the next part. I hope this helps with the solution and if you have any questions Id happily answer them.

Anyone else with a similar problem let us hear about it, maybe we can get more insight as to why it happens. Also, let me know if it stoped updating the objectives of the quest after talking to grant before protecting the president.

THANKS OBSIDIAN/BETHESDA I love this game, but wish this quest would finish for me.

Also, I forgot to mention that after protecting the president the quest called "you'll know it when it happens" is marked as completely done as well, and I got the EXP for it too. the for the republic part 2 quest will not updat so I cant complete it.

I'm having the same issues.....great game but I'm not thrilled about restarting when I'm 50+ hrs in and almost done with the main story..... unacceptable

colonel moore wont even talk to me anymore, wiki says this can hapen after the "how little we know" quest, pissed i wont get this achievment
