Ok, I'm currently trying to do I Put a Spell on You on the Legion side, however I'm having some frustrating difficulties. No matter what I do the train won't blow up. Is there a certain order of events that I have to follow when I am doing the three objectives after talking to Curtis, then talkin to Hsu, then grabbing the equipment neccesary for framing. I have tried doing them in this order

• Planting bomb on monorail
  
• Planting evidence in Crenshaws locker
  
• Killing Crenshaw

• Killing Crenshaw
  
• Planting evidence in Crenshaws locker
  
• Planting bomb on monorail

No matter what I try after I plant the bomb on the monorail and exit it I get the journel update saying leave the monorail and watch it leave. I always get the comm station warning saying the monorail will leave shortly however the monorail never leaves. It remains motionless no matter what I do, even if I wait for hours.

If there is anything anyone knows about this quest and could help me with I would very much appreciate it, if you need anymore info I'll gladly supply it.

P.S. I'm playing with the latest patch and with Dead Money.

This quest is an unholy mess and somebody should be ashamed. I am working on this from the NRC side, with both the latest patch and Dead Money installed.

What happens to me:

1. I enter the tower. I understand I should be hearing a radio discussion between the traitor and the Legion, but there is nothing no matter how long I wait.

- If I leave tower at that point, I won't be able to get inside the monorail, nor will Colonel Hsu acknowledg anything.
- Thus, my only option is to go up and at that point the traitor attacks me yelling "The trail ends here" or something like that at which point he gets killed.

2. The quest updates with "Go talk to Colonel Hsu".

3. Many people say that I should go directly to the monorail, but this is impossible, if I go it only offers me a trip to the Strip, I still cannot enter the monorail itself. So to Colonel Hsu it is.

4. Hsu sends me to to the monorail, everything goes well and I diffuse the bomb, no issues. Quest updates that the bomb has been diffused. Does _not_ show it on the screen, but when I view the quest log, there has been another update is that I should go back to Colonel Hsu.

5. I go to Hsu and he asks me "What happened?", but gives _absolutely no_ (as in zero, zilch, nada) reply option to tell him anything new. All I want to do is tell him, "Yeah, it's saved, cough up the XP" but no. I get completely stuck at this point, nothing I can do, Hsy doesn't update his speach options so that I could tell him anything about the monoral.

The End.

I've gone through many, many, many discussion threads on this quest online, so many different problems, so many different solutions or workarounds, but not for this. Even after patching this quest still doesn't work properly and someone needs to take a long hard look at what's wrong. Preferably the person who was/is responsbile for this unholy mess to begin with.

So far as the tower is concerned, if you're playing on the NCR side you need to wait until some time between midnight and two am, or thereabouts. It's not the radio, it's a traitor you need to catch.
If you wait somewhere near the tower, you should eventually see the traitor approach the tower. I hid, and saw him. Unfortunately, I spoke to him and scared him off.
It took a few tries before I managed to complete this. He turned up again, just as I was about to give up on it, and I followed him into the tower.
Mind you, I still failed to stop the monorail train blowing up, as I took too much time to get up there!

It is possible to complete.

1. you need to be inside the tower at just abit after 1am. If you hear the person talking to the legion wait till you hear about the bomb placed on the monorail.
2. As soon as you hear of it instead of confronting the person run to the monorail.
3. Make sure your agi skill is high and not wearing heavy armor or you won't catch up with the train.
4. Save the game before you get the monorail.
5. head out to the monorail and get on the train quickly there will be no option to "ride it".
6. have a high science or explosion skill to defuse the bomb. Then get off.
7. You have 2 options: A. Go to Hsu and tell him about what happened...As they would deal with the traitor and kill him. or B. run back to the tower andconfront the traitor and kill him then go to Hsu and tell him what happened.

Also its not much of a bug or a glitch in the mission. Buy a strategy guide that might help you to get through the game without much problem.

As mentioned above, I have no problems with this part.

The traitor is up there, I am hiding down by the door, but there is no talk about the bomb coming and the quest does not udpate.

It only updates after I go upstairs and confront the traitor.



This is where the problem is. Hsu does NOT update his speech options. Traitor is killed, monorail is saved, everything is done.

When I go to Hsu he starts by asking "What happened?" but does not give any option of telling him.

im having the same problem, He asks what happens but then nothing?

Try to confront Curtis then Kill him.
Then Loot the Activation Codes from his body, rush to the monorail, defuse the Bomb via the Codes.
Then talk back to Hsu......
