Hi All...

I'm newly registered to the forums & am currently at my wit's end here, hoping you guys can help me out. I've recruited Veronica as one of my companions, & whether I have her actively following me or not she seems to enjoy going walking/running off from me, eventually coming back after a few minutes, then immediately repeating the same process. She'll fast-travel along with me to where I go (Vault 22 included) but immediately run off. Same goes for dismissing her to the Lucky 38. As a result, I can't get her to stand still long enough to help me with any Brotherhood of Steel quests. This is killing me right now...any help you guys can offer would be HUGE.

There was a problem before the latest patch with her where she wouldn't follow you at all, even though she was still classed as a companion. For me, she'd occasionally turn up in the middle of a battle, help out, then stay put!

Does she eventually follow you into the vault or wherever?

You could try dismissing her, then recruiting her again (this worked after the patch), or check the companion wheel and try telling her to stay close.

So strange...even if I dismiss her back to the 38, when I go back to the Presidential Suite with a new companion as soon as I see her she runs off. Seems like she's playing hard to get...

If I try the Vault 22 elevator trick she winds up next to me, turns around & goes through the elevator off to god knows where. I think 'll try tinkering around with the companion wheel a bit & see what I can do. I'd hate to have to restart from an old save since I thought the problem would've rectified itself by now & it didn't start annoying me until I tried to start all the BoS stuff...

So I tried messing with every companion wheel option I could...dismissing her to the 188, the 38, every floor of Vault 22, killing her...seems like I've exhausted all my possible resources. Do we have any idea of when the next patch is coming around?

Bethesda hasn't released any news on one yet, so I'm assuming...either a very long time, or never.

Yeah...I've decided to just try to do as much as possible without doing anything BoS-related & hoping that sometime in the next couple weeks a patch comes through that solves my problems.
