Are the preorder bonuses given to the player in addition to the stuff that Doc Mitchell would give you, or instead of? I'm considering preordering the game on steam for that snazzy light leather armor, but I'd really like that Vault 21 suit too. I've looked around, but most other preorder threads are basically "lol which preorder do you want" and stuff that doesn't help me.

In the last podcast they revealed that the bonuses just appear in your inventory whenever you enter the code. They don't replace anything. You can enter the code anytime during the game if you're worried.
