Brink ability purchasing question

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:00 pm

I've tried searching on the Internet and on the compendium for this and haven't found anything, so forgive me if the question has been answered before:

I understand that each time you level up you get 1 "ability point" and you can then use this to buy or upgrade existing abilites. However, do you get one of these 'ability points' each for a class specific ability, or do you have to choose which class you are putting the 'ability points' towards? I see a problem if you have to choose, because that would mean people are going to have characters that are really good at a specific class and will make them hesitant to switch. This would then disrupt the flow of the game.

And does anyone know if you can reevaluate your 'ability points' once you reach level 20? Basically you regain 20 points and forfeit all of your previous unlocks so you can decide which abilites you want to invest in again.

Thanks for the help.
And yes, I did get lazy with the quotation marks halfway through the post.

You choose which class (or universal abilities) you put the points to. The point of it being that some will develop characters that are class specifc while others will develop characters that are flexible.

And yes, you can lose a level in order to re do your ability purchases according to our current information.
