SPOILER ALERT! (if you haven't gotten ED-E)

So I'm just doing normal missions and I teleport somewhere down south of the map.
I was just walking towards my destination and ED-E JUST DISAPPEARED. Come on guys... this is BS.
I spent so much time collecting lewt and putting them all in ED-E's inventory, then he just disppears? I tried to go back and look for him but he was nowhere to be found. What the hell is going on here?

And just for your info, he can't die.

Yep I lost him too. I lost him when I finished my mission at the tops destorying their guns and I ran into the Lucky 38 casino to tell house and I left. Well ED-E wasnt following thought he was waiting outside of the Lucky 38 went back, nope not there no wheres to be seen and he is loaded down with alot, some unique stuff as well as a almost 100% repaired BoS power armor.

If you don't mind using console...SAVE BEFORE DOING THIS!

Rusty, I found him near the door way of TOPs.
Maybe there's a bug there that makes them stop following you when you come out of there?
That's exactly where I left to go to another area.
Trying using that command. It worked for me.

I have the same problem, I lost ED-E in the wastes east of the police station, he just disappeared, no load screens, no transitions, he was there, I got into a firefight, then he wasn't there. I still have the Perk, but no ED-E.

I'm on the 360, so console codes are of little help to me, any other ideas?

I have a similar problem, except with Veronica. I can't find her anywhere. However, when I try to enter Caesar's tent, the guy outside tells me I must enter alone. But, since my companion is lost, I can't tell her to wait outside the tent. Now I can't progress at all with Caeser's Legion. This is pretty game breaking and really making me regret buying the game.

ED-E wont carry power armor..

You hand it to him.. ( or Boone for that matter ) close the trade screen and it says 'Follower can not wear this faction armor' or something similar.. and it gets dropped on the ground.. and then you walk away and dont notice until later when you go to take it back off him..

Strange way to do that. I mean if your putting it in their storage it should let them carry it. I will have to track him down and see if he still has the armor or not. I didnt see it drop to the ground. But I noticed walking around teh BoS base some scribes keep commenting bout how they never seen a eyebot modified like this one and I dont even ahve ED-E with me.

@$!@$ MAn... !@$ this game. I lost ED-E Again. Put the proper upgrade code for him and he's not there.
I quit. Devs, please give me back my $50. This game is all about going to console and fixing the damn bugs half the time I play.

I lose them all time to time, but now at tent entry to Ceaser Veronica w/e bos chick vanished, can't enter tent : (

This may help you find missing companions, I'm not 100% certain if this works so if someone could confirm it that would be great.
Go to vault 22 and go down the elevator, hopefully when you go down the elevator your companion will reappear.
A repair skill of about 50 is required to fix the elevator.
Vault 22 is East if New Vegas.
A quest relating to Vault 22 can be found at Camp McCarren.

i had it on the xbox but fast traveling worked for me. migth be a good idea to fire your companion when you go to one of the "risk" area's and pick them up later. if its possible
