Brink PC LAN - Almost a certainty!

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:30 pm

Hey guys,

Was thinking about Brink LAN earlier on, and was a little dismayed at how LAN has been an excluded feature on PC's over the past year, then it clicked in my head.

Steamworks.

Steam works fully supports LAN and Offline play. As BRINK is using the steamworks server browser which has a LOCAL tab, BRINK, like TF2 and CSS and all other Steamworks games should be good to go :D

I hope this is the case anyway as a friend of mine is coming to spend the brink release weekend at my new house, and my internet isn't activated until Tuesday 17th :(

My point is LAN will be supported and this is a BIG plus for the competetive scene that does a lot of Local based meet ups that involve people trucking their gear to one location. After attended a few myself there were issues with games that required a connection and it was impossible to get an internet connection for them in the building.
