Corrupted save files

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:08 am

So, all my saved files are corrupt. It happened when I died and loaded an autosave in the Luck 38 casino, and now the game crashes whenever I try to load a save. A friend of mine told me that this is a common problem on the PC version, and supposedly there are fixes. Anyone got solutions?

Not sure why they told there are fixes for it- there aren't any yet. Sorry but as of now you have no way of recovering corrupt saves.

Kind of a shame...I did get most of them to work (my two most recent had to be deleted). I think if I go over 15 saves they stop working...another friend told me that in FO3, if his save number went over 300, they would all be deleted or something.

Anyways, if I have quest bugs, is this still the place to put them? Or should it be listed under spoilers?

Not true. The game does not delete saves. (Corrupt? Sure, but not delete.)

Nope, you're in the right place. :) The devs are reading the boards but don't expect a dev response here. This place is more for us to help each other.

An official option would be to detail the problem in an email to http://support.gamesas.com/eng/platformlist.asp?sid=194255101021068049169165&pid=400000953&pnm=Fallout%3A+New+Vegas

Ah. Well, I just finished the game, so I got around that. Just a problem I should mention, though, with one of the quests: it's in one of the "The House Always Wins" quests, but I'm not sure which.

Spoiler
After going to Gamorrah and killed the two heads of the Omerta family, but after I went back to Mr. House he wouldn't recognize that I had finished the quest and so I couldn't continue...I wound up having to load a save before doing the quest and simply killing everyone there.
