Nazi Invaders from the Moon is the basic premise.
It is also a comedy.

Ah yes, the classic "Nazi's from the dark side of the moon" plot. Wait, what?

In all seriousness though, I hadn't actually heard anything about this movie in a long time. I thought it had been abandoned.

Hadn't seen that third teaser yet, love it! Good to hear they're actually finishing it, I had almost abandoned hope.

Yay!

I wasn't worried the project was dead as I've been checking http://www.ironsky.net/site/ every so often, but the release date is news to me. Can't wait!

Watched the newest teaser. Seems like the Nazis has more than I thought they would have.

Is this the one where the remnants flee to the mood after the war to rebuild their forces and reclaim their throne? Of sorts.....

I think I should point out (to those too lazy to click the link and read the description) that this is a comedy. Which is actually kind of disappointing. Could've been one of those "ridiculous, but could be AWESOME" movies like Cowboys Vs Aliens.

You can download it from the internet. This groups previous film is available somewhere too, i've forgotten the name though :slap:

They've been done with volunteer forces, so it's available for free.

Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wreck:_In_the_Pirkinning was the first one.

The plan seems to be to show it in theaters at the places where a lot of people seem to want it. In the website I linked there's a map you can go to and add your location to to increase the chance it'll come to a theater in your area.

I don't know why you seem to be assuming if someone likes the movie they can't possibly be aware it's a comedy. Depending on the type of comedy it is, I think it could work pretty well. Sure, if it's a bunch of slapstick I'll be disappointed, but that doesn't seem to be the direction they're going in.

I-I'm not? I was just pointing it out. People could come on here face-palming thinking "Oh, look, another novel idea from Hollywood." It's a comedy. It's not supposed to be serious :[

Oh, sorry, I mistook your post to mean that the fact that it's a comedy was so disappointing you were no longer interested in it, and were trying to warn people to stay away.

Nah, my posts in that tone are more like:

"BACK! BACK ALL YE WHO VALUE YOUR SANITY. HERE THERE BE NOTHING BUT DEMONS AND SUFFERING!"

...Yeah....
