Argh!

I'm friendly with the NCR, neutral with The Kings, and have re-played/re-started this quest several times trying different options. The problem is I CANNOT TALK to Elizabeth to smooth things over - no matter what I do, the NCR attacks me at the Train Station. I don't want to lose karma with the NCR, and this quest has taken too much of my time to forget about the XP points.

I don't have any 'Kings' clothes on, I don't have gun drawn, I've even used a Stealth Boy to try and get close, but they turn on me every time. The NCR is friendly to me everywhere else in the Wasteland except this mission.

It's driving me crazy! Is it a glitch?? Is there some trigger I'm missing to keep the NCR peaceful?? PLEASE HELP

Had the same problem. Turns out that if you have Arcade in your party, they fight you becasue you are rolling with a Freeside local. Hope it helps.
