A curious thought on The Strip

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 4:35 am

Now, if a dev would drop by very quickly and shed a little light on this, I'd be most grateful.

So I was thinking, on the E3 demo, we see them walking about on The Strip, or a portion at least. Visually, even in it's Alpha phase, I was particularly awestruck, but one thing came to mind, I heard 'Blue Moon' by Frank Sinatra playing on the exterior and interior speakers, now, this in itself is not an issue, but is this the only song we'll hear on those speakers? Because if so, and you plan on spending countless hours on The Strip (*cough* me *cough*) It'd get a little tedious hearing only one song on loop over the casino speakers.

probably a licensing issue. If every video had a different track they would be shelling out for playing them (as opposed to ingame music, which is paid for when you buy the game). Dunno. Don't get too hung up on the fact that every video had the same song it it.

No no no. I just mean playing that single song playing on loop over the casino intercoms. It's the only song I hear in the demo videos, but maybe it's the only one they implemented into that during the E3 time frame (after all it WAS still in Alpha phase)

I'd say since its in its 'Alpha stage' thats the only song they had programed. It could be a licence agreement Blue Moon has with the company to play it during demos however.

I realized that too, but they would probably have to pay more for different songs. So I guess that is just for demo purposes.

Gamblers FTW!!

I remember last time I was in vegas.
outside the fashion show mall they looped the same song over and over again on the loud speakers.
But not the whole song ,just like a 30 second segment of it.
Brutal!!!!

Easily fixed: I'll just turn on the music on the pip-boy and listen to that.
