whenever i join a freeplay game it lags horrifically but whenever i play campaign people join and its perfectly fine.
So why does it lag in freeplay but not in campaign?

The person w/ host for the match may have had a really bad connection. It varies greatly from game to game honestly. Be sure to check your NAT while you're at it. If It's open, everything on your end is fine.
