The bots in my team are really stupid, and the enemy bots are really overpowerd. They kill you in 1-2 sec. from 50m with a submachinegun and in need a whole mag. and, a bot was hacking and i shot him in the back, he turned around and killed me in one shot -_- Who has the same problems?
plz tell me and lets hope it will be fixed. (sorry for the bad english).
I had the same problem the first time I played the game, however, I found that most battles in Brink are decided by the pack size of enemies and allies, the team's use of the objective wheel, and the implementation of weapons. Essentially, if you walk in a party of 4 bots you can be pretty safe from being single out and nailed by a 2 second blitz from one bot because the AI will spread their fire between the four bots and yourself. Enemies are the same affair, if you find yourself against four enemies at close range its best to flee, or find a tactical ground at range so that you can eliminate them one by one, or get a grenade knockdown (but the emphasis when outnumbered is on a defensive retreat)
So here are couple of tips that I learned the hard way:
1)
The bots play for the team, not for you: the player! This means that if you have an objective selected in the objective wheel (some dependent on class), bots will treat you differently dependently on that choice. So if you are a PORC (primary objective required class) and have the objective set to completing the primary objective, allies will more likely escort you and rally at your location (plus all those benifits such as buffing, and reviving) but so will the enemies focus their attacks upon you, and try to rally against you. If your a PORC with a capture command post objective selected, however, enemies will not prioritise on killing you, and neither will your allies in rallying to you, reviving you, or buffing you.
This technically makes it possible to actually trick the offline game by choosing to do one objective when really you try to do another, but most of the time this is a bad tactic, as this primarily make you earn less xp, but more importantly it actually sabotages the bots tactical decisions. So if your guarding an objective when you have the command post capture highlight, the team will not take that mission, thus the enemy will be able to exploit that, and you find that the game become a whole lot more difficult (you can't push enemies back nor stop their advance).
A tip for switching between objective quickly is to tap up when aiming at a particular object, like an ally with a particular class, or a com post. This will allow you to get the huge xp, but also make the bots more effective, and more inclinded to give you nice goddies, and do other tactics while you hold down the line, or visa versa.
2) Ranged weapons (sniper rifles, assault rifles) are best for
killing, CQC (SMG, gattling gun, turrets, and pistols) weapons are best for
wounding (reducing enemies to dangerously low health); and grenades, grenade launchers, and heavy weapons are best for
supporting coverfire and knockback.
Essentially what I mean here is that you have to use all the weapons available to succeed, and not just have a favourite 2 weapon combo. It is best to have each weapon customised for a specific purpose (the three above, killing, supressing, or knockdown) based upon personal prefferences, body type, and the weapon's initial statistics. This allows you to essentially be prepared for any encounter, that way, when in game and finding that your team is getting stuck in a bottleneck with the enemy, or your being killed by a 2 second blitz, you can bring the best kit to the fight and assist the team in breaking through or holding the line.
For crowded enemies use knockback weapons (grenade lanchers rock for this), for advancing enemies use wounding fire weapons (so that they actually walk into your fire and make them easy to pick off), and for defensive enemies use ranged killing (because they can't shot effectively back at you, and you can kill the medics as a priority) .3) Buff, Buff, and Buff YOUR BOTS. I initially though it was better to buff yourself than a bot, however, this is actually worse because you waste too much of your supply meter (you could buff two bots instead, and two guns are better than 1 controled by the player). Use self buffing only in an emergency, when seperated from the group and are holding a defensive position.
Additionally, when you buff a bot, or escort a bot, they are more likely to buff you back. Bots that take escort missions will always buff the escortee, additionally, they will also then buff fellow escorters. If you randomly buff an engineer and then stick close to them, or chose to escort them, they will most likely buff you back. Medics will also buff you more if you are close to them and are doing the above, as well as buff them.
When respwaning with a group of bots, buff all of them and you can probably get metabolism, a health buff, and kevlar in about 3 seconds! (for an operative, I consider a com hack, a turret hack, and a disguise a buff)
4) Learn the map,
but always move with a group or rush to the location of an allied group (unless you are in disguise). Escort and Guarding mission are invaluable because they facilitate rally points, then when in a group just tap up to get a escort mission if you can, and then be a remora (be a body guard). You will die less, you will get revived quicker, you will level faster, and most importantly you will get buffed.
So if you follow these you can pretty much complete every mission offline in hard mode. It took me 2 weeks to figure out the above, and that Jail break mission of the resistence took me two days to complete untill the above clicked for me. So rule of thumb:
Play with the team, not for them.
