Using 360 Controller - Glitchy for anyone else?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:03 am

I was just wondering if anyone else using a 360 controller (on the PC) to play Fallout was having issues?

By issues I mean sporadic up-downness of the cursor on a menu; it won't let you easily go through each item one by one.

Or your character starts moving on his or her own, even though the anolog sticks aren't being touched.

Plus other things - if others experience this, then I know it isn't just the controller I bought. If I'm one (if not only) person experiencing these issues, then at least I know chances are things will be okay when/if I buy a different controller.

Thanks!

I just tested mine for you and it acts like I would expect a 360 controller to act on a 360, but on PC.

I saw none of what you mentioned in my couple minutes of testing. I ran around, then stopped, waiting for "auto run" to kick in but it didn't. I ran through the Pip-Boy selections and it all went quite smoothly.

I did not talk to anyone but I doubt it matters as the Pip-Boy is basically the same thing as far as option selection.

Sounds to me like a driver issue, or a well used controller.

Thanks for a quick response.

I believe drivers are just fine, but I think I'll try out another controller tomorrow. Somehow, I will get this to work! I just find it more intuitive/easier to use the controller versus keyboard.
