how to start the game

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:07 pm

I have two ideas how to start the game.

1.Continue from fallout 3. a tiny DLC is uploaded into the NEW VEGAS game which is downloaded to the fallout 3 DLC saves. Once you start playing fallout 3 (if you finished the main story) you'll receive a new radio signal, its from the Brotherhood of Steele. They apparently lost contact with the outpost in las vegas and they need someone to go check it out, but no ones willing to do it. its up to the vault dweller to check things out and find out what went wrong so you volunteer for the job. Elder lyons will give you permission to go but he gives you some strange rules:1.no gear or clothes (they will be provided) 2. compainons must stay, and 3. all your caps must stay at your house. once you've prepared your self and head back to the citadel, you'll see a VTOL in the middle of the courtyard, with elder lyons beside it. Once you talk to elder lyons you have two choices. to be able to come back to the capital wasteland, or to stay in new vegas. If you picked to come back to the wasteland, the VTOL will stay where it is where it dropped you off.
If you picked the other, when your in the NEW VEGAS area, you will get shot down and crash knocking you out and nearly killing you. A group of scavengers will meet you and give you your armor and gun if you picked the first or if you picked the other (crash), they will rescue you and fix you up. bad thing is that there is a war going on so your put into a heavily armored cyro chamber and frozen. this is where the game NEW VEGAS starts.

2.Birth. same as fallout 3's beginning but with a twist. your parents get slaughtered when your are just fourteen years old (yes you see the whole thing) by either raiders or by the NEW CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT. later a brotherhood of steele squad hears gunshots and screaming and run with guns ready. The Brotherhood kill the ones that ended your parents lifes. One of the Squad members (a woman) hears you crying in the closet (by which your screen gets fuzzy at the bottom) and walks over to it and opens the closet. She gets your attention and hugs you and says "everything is alright its alright" then they teach you the ways to fight with the brotherhood. until when your 18 the place is raided by an army of the NEW CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT, you survive by heading into the shelter with your colleges. The same group that picks you up from the first idea will come and cut open the door. your the only one left sane while the others killed them selves, there fore the game starts.

If you have any other ideas on how to start the game just put them in comments. :fallout:

o.O

It's not a Fallout 3 expansion. It's an entirely new game, and we already know how you start.

Only this one? Come on... about 20-30 more at least... and anyway, from his writing and story ideas, he may be very young, so... thanks for the effort.

I would laugh so hard if he wasn't, that's like unintentionally adding insult to injury. :lmao:

Good work I guess, but we already know how the game starts. It would be stupid to move your character over, there really should be no tie to the lone wanderer since he's got no place in this story. It would also cause people who don't own NV to pay $120 just to get the game since they'd need FO3.

Oh and I hope the brotherhood of steel are gonna be [censored]s in this one, no need for them to be the saints they were on the east coast.

as much as i liked the BoS in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2...Fallout 3 has given me overload. I'd prefer they not show their shiny metal behinds at all in New Vegas. If they must be in it then have them just be the technology gathering isolationists they ought to be rather then Saviours of the Wastes.

How the game starts is already known. It has nothing to do with Fallout 3's storyline.

I would quote everyone who has talked to far, but that would take to long. To sum it up, we already know how it starts, and it has nothing to do with fallout 3 except the same basic storyline. i.e. nuclear armageddon, similiar factions.
