Hi,

I try to leave the vault into the save box, without fighting. The problem I don't have a StealthBoy...
I tried this many times but before I get the "savebox""the shield is going up... (direct before I can enter it svcks)...
So I read in this nice forum some posts that a StealthBoy is necessary to leave the the vault undetected.
I get most of Deans hidden caches but no StealthBoy

So is there a StealthBoy in the vault available? I don′t want get all of the gold maybe 5 barrels are fine for me.

Maybe someone know that. Thanks for any help.

Run out of the vault the second you finish dialogue and all through the way you came; don't try and sneak past him.

Hey Thanks for the fast replay. I don't want to run away I want to sneak away... Still avoiding XP points.
I only getting the DLC for the HoloRife for Veronica, Level Cap 35 and Assassin Suit... no more.

So I need a fast way back to Mojave.

You can't sneak past Elijah; he'll spot you and fight you. However if you do run back you get to not fight Elijah, lock the little weasel in the vault forever and get all the nice DLC goodies back to the Mojave in one piece.

So yeah, run through the vault back to the entrance is what you want to do.

You can! Taking a StealthBoy one Stealth Magazine and the right timeframe. You can get in the SaveBox and leaving at the Hologram statue where you begin.
So you just open the gate to Mojave and your'e save

There are many videos how to achieve that, but only with a StealthBoy... So the way to do is: Talk to Elijah that he will come down, than move fast, take a StealthBoy
and Stealth Magazine you have / find. Then go to the SaveBox but save in the middle of the trip, go in the Box. The alarm will start if you in the Box
just go to the elevator and you save ... re-spawn at the fountain where you start the DLC. So you can easy go the the Mojave.

Meh, theres 6 stealth boys in a cabinet within the vault so good luck; if it doesn't work my way works much easier and achieves the same results.

Thanks I will check it at the beginning of the vault. But in my point of view there are only a few cabinets in the vault... but I will go and find out

Get a Stealthboy in the Villa... There was no in the Vault, but now I know every corner of the vault

I had to do this like 9 times before I got the achievement. It got pretty frustrating.

Btw: is there a possibility to manage that without a Stealth Boy?

I beat dead money earlier today with out fighting nor a stealth boy my strategy was this:
1.once you leave the vault sneak over to your left and hide behind the turret generator( the thing that blows up when christine tries to help).
2.wait for Elijah to turn left towards the vault and slowly sneak past him
3. when past him stand up and run to the elevator.

i only had 55 stealth and i was able to do it with in 5 times.

I found a Stealth Boy in the cabinet inside the vault. I don't know if it's always there; maybe it's randomized?

Anyway, Stealth Boy + explosives = lots of gold.

If you don't care about the gold itself and just want lots of caps, look at all that (weightless) prewar money you can get.
