In this video (http://g4tv.com/videos/49210/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---The-Characters-Of/) the characters of fallout New Vegas when it shows Rex and than goes to what looks like a third person camera panning around the character which is a super mutant.....

If you actually watch there is no one else around when he is in first person showing that you can play as a super mutant!?!?!?!

You can't play as a super mutant. That's been confirmed. So no, you probably didn't see it right.


EDIT: That looks like lily. A companion.

No, it's been said before that you can't play as a Super Mutant or Ghoul in New Vegas, and the character the camera (which I think is actually just the players point of view) is circling around is Lily, a potential companion.

how the hell do you make the vid start? all i got is gray background screen. iv been trying to watch vids on g4.com since a few days ago, its not working >.> (firefox user here, if that helps)

Remember, there is a Vanity Mode to the Camera so you can pan and zoom from a viewpoint that is not your characters or the 3rd Person perspective.

There are console commands on PC such as 'tfc' that allow you to maneuver the camera without the players presense, or it actually rotating in relation to the player. So they probably ran around a corner, used this and panned it around the companion.

its not the PC im afraid. if you watch closely at 1:13 the camera stops orbiting and moves off the the left for a split second.

i think it was the PC in first person, moving around a super mutant.

They're the developers, they can do whatever they please withe the camera and game world.

Its Lily, the companion/ lovely and prone to cuddle granny.
