Hey all.

I just bought both of the New Vegas dlcs and anxiously started a new game (with the latest patches) a few nights ago. Everything went ok for the first hours, but then my Xbox started freezing every now and then. Then a couple of corrupt saves. And now i can't load any of my save games. Rebooting the Xbox does nothing. Really getting frustrated, as i can't play the dlcs i just bought. Anyone else experienced similar total unplayability?

Sorry if this sounds like a useless rant, but i thought it might be good to inform Bethesda and other Xbox users about this :mellow:

FIX: One savegame worked, the oldest one i had from the beginning of the game. I loaded it, and after that my newest savegames worked too. Weird, but worked. Hope this helps other people too.

they already know. There is at least one update version that kills saves. They advise to not update to that one... BUT, read my thread about updates (I just replied to it, so it's near this one). It's been over a week and they STILL haven't let me know which update is the correct one, and where I can download it. I gave up on xbox.com. It says the 4 ways to apply updates, and I want to use either a usb stick or CD... BUT I can't find where to download the actual files! I found them on other sites, but I don't know which one is the one that doesn't kill the game before I update (of course). http://marketplace.xboxmodder.com/, and far easier to find updates on than xbox.com for games, in my experience.

Oh gosh, i read your topic. That really svcks. I can't be bothered with all that re-patching myself, but i admire your persistence. Yeah after i posted i read something about these patches. I wish i did that before i bought both dlcs, though.

When i played this game last time in late december and early january, everything worked good enough (2 or so crashes i think). Maybe that'd give you a clue which game version is playable? Dunno.

I fear for other big Bethesda games on Xbox :ermm:
