Importing character from F3 to FNV

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 4:25 pm

Hi, as the topic says, I'm wondering whether I can import a character from F3 to NV. Or is NV a totally different storyline/game that requires you to start at lv1 again?

nope.

it would be absolutely stupid if you could.
The lone wanderer should stay in the capital wasteland where he belongs.

You can't do this officially (as its not intended in the game), but they give you the tools to mod... so you could (if you really wanted to), design a FO:NV character with the same stats and perks (minus the ones they have removed), and set your XP's manually. This (in theory) could give you a good approximation of your PC, and you can "role play" him or her having hiked it out to Vegas on foot. (But I don't recommend this, as its not likely to be half as much fun as you'd think).

there is also, the F_F_B version of "bring your LW to new vegas". which works as long as you have MZ.
Spoiler
basically, after you destroy the other ship, and the teleporter thing get's shot down to earth, it ISNT shot down to the CW, it's shot to NV and the lone wanderer get's teleported THERE instead.
