Can't get the console to work by pressing the ~ key.
Not using a game pad or any other than keyboard and mouse.
It's worked before but suddenly stopped working.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.


ballowconsole=1 this is what it says when I open the configuration files for the game.

Try pressing alt + 96 or alt + 126

Is it that the menus(hp/ap/etc) don't go away or that you hit the console button and they do? If it's the second, it could be because of a UI mod pushing the readable text range outside of the viewing area.

The menus don't go away when I hit the console button.

I'm having the same problem, and it was so handy to use No clipping to get out of places that I can't otherwise ;(.

Anyone have a way to fix this?

If you have a Laptop or some kind of remote control:

Try uninstalling the "Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver" in the folder "human device interface" of the device manager.

Dont worry, it will reinstall itself after a reboot.

I don't have the infrared tranciever and i can't open my console either

I can't get console to show up anymore either (worked a week ago) but I'm fairly certain it's because I installed DarnUI

Hmm. Disabling the infrared thingy works for me.
Perhaps one should try without changing the configuration files, atleast i didnt need to.

On PS/2 keyboard I get console.
On USB keyboard I don't get console.
My USB keyboard is a IR receiver ?
