Patch Tommorow (360) : Othor Games

Yea Like BeartheTyrant was saying, if you change you're game type from the default you get a lot better results. We set up with "Advanced" and most of the time we're lag free. some times it will start lagging after a few games, but it stops pretty quick. It may just be that default public game search. Who knows, hopefully it will get fixed pretty soon and we can all get into playing Brink instead of defending/hating on it on forums!! Also, for the record, I am loving Brink so far!

I also just started playing the game in "advanced" mode and saw an instant upgrade in connection quality. Not only that, "advanced," "competition," and "old school" game modes allow voice chat, which I stupidly did not realize was shut off in standard mode and in the campaign. Guess I should start reading the manual! In any event, I just finished a 2 hour session and it was practically lag-free. Now if only we could do something about that texture load time...

I'm probably going to play in advanced mode from here on out.

If you actually added proper spacing to your posts, I might take them seriously...

Also, the "day one" patch was already released, and you should be prompted to download it once you start up the game.

Doubt it, seeing as how Skyrim will be the best video game know to mankind.

You do realize that's what everyone said about Brink, right?

OT: Is a patch actually confirmed for Friday?

Played a couple games this morning completely lag free and they were full, as in completely filled by players, with no lag! Again I was playing on advanced so don't know if they have the standard mode fixed. But honestly advanced just allows chat and puts friendly fire on...not that big of a deal to play that instead of standard. Non laggy MP was fun as hell!
