First Review? : Fallout: New Vegas

LaPS3 gave new Vegas a 9.4. It looks like a legit gaming website, (though the review itself doesn't look that way) but I don't think they submit scores to metacritic.

EDIT: I noticed the video's postmark is 9-25-10. Hmm...

According to our fellow spanish speaking forumites, this is a preview. Odd they would give a score to preview though.

Doesn't look legit at all. First off, the image at teh beginning isn't even the official one and they are using a bunch of pre-existing FNV vids.

All of the "footage" seems really familiar. As in, I've seen them all in gameplay videos before.

after actually watching the video it does look fake.

but a 9.4 score is not impossible

Gamespot gave mass effect 2, MGS4 and GTA4 all higher scores then a 9.4

I'd think you'd have more of a trust issue with the fact that the video was posted the month before the game is going to be released, and before it even went gold. Priorities man! :laugh:

Thats just silly, no reason to go to 10 if no game ever gets a 10. 10 =\= perfect. Any GOTY should be 10 or damn close.

I totally disagree with that.

Uncharted 2, Oblivion, Killzone 2, Halo Reach, Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Red Dead Redemption...

All games that many reviewers game scores higher than 9.4.

That's a personal opinion. Other people don't seem to think it was. (Forgive me, it's a pet peeve of mine when people state their opinions as fact)

Anyway, this doesn't really seem to be legit, now does it? It's a fake review. The game wasn't even gold when this "review" came out.

no it wasnt. as much as i like to trash on most of its players. i must admit its not a terrible game. the story mode svcked but the game wasnt trash. maybe deserving of a 7.5 or an 8.0

it wasnt great and its a shame many people at my school believe it to be the best game ever created, but it has become more of a symbol to represent "kill everything that moves" fps games

That is recycled footage and he talks about different towns and the companion wheel and crosshairs and stuff, he talks really fast so it is hard for me to understand him.

I call BS for the simple fact that it's a 9.4. You know as opposed to 9.5 or 10 or 9. It just seems like a weird rating to me. Not quite 9.5 so let's subtract .1 from the score. Not to mention all the other BS flags.

Actually IGN gives out very very high scores in all of their reviews. I don't think this is legit but I'm just saying 9.4 is very achievable from some sites.
