The endless glitches are ruining the game

Let me start by saying i've been playing Bethesda games since Morrowwind, and have always been a huge fan. Oblivion got me through the downtime during my first tour in Iraq, and Fallout 3 was there for me during my second tour. They've all had problems with glitches but usually they weren't to a game breaking degree. New Vegas on the other hand, while a great game, is so plagued by glitches, that the glitches outshine the actual game. During my first play through, Boone's quest was broken. I got the prompt to take him to Bitter Springs, I go to Bitter Springs with him, I run all over the damned place, nothing happens. Sigh, time to start over. On my second play through, I advanced the BoS quest line to the transitional phase where the elder says he needs time to prepare for the ending of the lock down. Only problem is the game never advanced past that point. Every time I talked to the elder it was the same "need time to lift the lock down" line, after days of waiting, and doing a ton of other quests. So no power armor for me. Time to start over again. (Bangs head on wall). Now on my third play through, veronica's quest is broken. SERIOUSLY?! The last conversation trigger to begin her quest wont come up, and ive been all over the damned place with her, including ALL the spots that are supposed to trigger her dialogue. As I was able to complete her quest on one of my other broken play throughs, I know im not doing anything wrong, im just screwed AGAIN. How could they release a game this broken? I've spent more time trying to navigate around game breaking glitches than playing the actual game. I mean for christ's sake, there are already a ton of forum threads devoted to trying to find ways to make the game playable. And all this is after the patch! Not to mention the game still crashes every 10 minutes to an hour. I've lost all patience here, and frankly, I'm angry and disgusted that I shelled out 60 dollars for a broken product. But, why do a thorough job of testing your game, when the consumers will do it for you for free? Just disgusting.

Understandable.

Is it true that Obsidian and Bethesda have emails?

Is there not some way to spread one's sentiments throughout the internet?

I wonder how negative press would affect currect sales and future sales?

:whisper:

There is a on going community patch over at fallout new vegas nexus that may address some of your issues. I however, have decided to shelve my game until this garbage gets fixed. Most likely that will be at least 2 to 3 patches down the round. However, there is a patch coming out next week for the PC that will address some NPC, Nvidia, and currupt save game issues.

I was wondering if there was a way to contact Bethesda or Obsidian myself. I feel like they don't realize the full scope of just how buggy the game is, and would love to get a dialogue going with someone who can help. I was having the issue with corrupt saves too, but that disappeared after the patch was released. I also share your sentiment on finding a way to spread the news of just how severe the glitches are, as I'm sure the majority of the games reviews will be glowing with compliments, while downplaying the glitches. One need only google "New Vegas" and "glitch", just to see how bad it really is..

Well, an update on my NPC interaction nightmare. After completing the Omerta quest line for the NCR/ Mr. House, Veronica finally gave me the quest...and decided to acknowledge the formal wear I gave her about five hours previous in the game. She then announced that she would teach me a new perk, which I never actually received. I recall reading about something fairly similar happening to someone else, regarding Veronica, while I was researching the issue on the forums. So this particular bug is not exclusive to just me. Thanks again to Obsidian/ Bethesda for selling me a barely working product!
