Actually it's only 5 days.

It's the 14th now, and it releases on the 19th. Do the math.

If you're not in north America however, you're right, it's more than 5 days..

No need to change the title, as it is in fact 8 days until release for myself and plenty of other people(Europe and Australia, even worse for the Japanese 20 days for them

) , damned stupid staggered release.

I live in Poland, and the shop I pre-ordered from (gram.pl) has sent me an e-mail to confirm my delivery. And it sends the confirmation 5 days before they send it.

Correct, the official release date for Europe and Australia(I'm guessing New Zealand too) is Friday the 22nd.

So? It seems that my country can warp in time and space.
For example, this week I got MoH arrive to me on wednesday, and it's officially released in Europe tomorrow

Well, but you still won't be able to play before anyone else in Europe, thanks to glorious Steam and the regulations they have to make to save the offline market. Weird world it is, eh? ^_^

and some people in Europe have been informed that they will receive their preorders on the 19th (US Release date). Whether they can activate them before the 22nd is another matter...

Don't be so happy, mate.
When DR2 was released, the PC version was released in Poland a week earlier than anywhere in the world
How? Well, all versions had GFWL Zero Day Protection, ours only Securom.
I'm not saying that we won't have Steam, but that it'll work the day it's officially released.
Oh, and since when Steam is so restrictive about EU to US release dates?
I'm using it for 5 years now and I never had such a problem with it.
