My main concern is how often is my health really at 50% (or below) but its kinda hard keeping followers alive on hardcoe

I think it's pretty terrible, compared to the other sweet ones you can get.

I play on normal though so...

ok, so far that isn't really helpful. Does it signifigantly increase the likelyhood Boone or Veronica will survive heavier gunfire?

I have it, playing on hardcoe. I dont know if it has saved Veronica very often because she now wears the remnants armor, but I just think of it as a backup plan.

The thing is, (if I remember correctly) *your* health has to be below 50% before it kicks in. I am playing on hardcoe (normal difficultly) and that doesn't happen very much.

see, that's what i thought as well. I always had a crippled limb or two but because you had to eat and drink my health was rarely below 75%

That realization enabled me to reduce my Charisma to 4 (I still want solid companions) and not worry about getting that particular perk (which requires Charisma of 6).

that's rather funny...that is exactly what i lowered mine too for the same reasoning - and I didn't want to be a creepy undertaker lol

I think i'll use this perk spot for something else.

My stats are:
S P E C I A L
6 4 5 4 8 8 5

With Four Eyes trait and hat my P is at 6. With one level of Intense training my Luck is also at 6. Starting over today I would do things perhaps a little differently, but this is working more than well enough for me.

It's a good one if you have melee companions .. stay at <50% hp so it kicks in, companion goes in to "tank" and you clear things up.
Good one for cqc i think (vaults, caves etc) or if you are more of a non combat oriented char.

I think i read somewhere that it gives companions 50% DT .
