Gah! 2 of the 3 A-vault guys are not Fallout fans, which means they are heretics and should be sacked. :shakehead: However! They can redeem themselves and MUST play Fallout New Vegas (the lot of em) for at least 100 horus, or I shall loose faith and unsubscribe them from my virtuality. PRE-ORDER Now you A-Vault so-called "gamers" and prove to us that you have the kuan! :mohawk:

LOVED the interview with Chris Avellone!! He always gives us a very human and more honest perspective on things which I very much enjoy. What Really got my blood pumping was his conversation about his Fallout table top campaigns at Interplay, and had lots of ideas from those times. I remember campaigns like that, and remember all the awesome ideas we had and things we did - years of inspiration. The fact that some of the Obsidian team have such depth of history with Fallout fantasy means they had alot of good ideas coming into New Vegas, and to me this means that the writing and story for this game are going to ROCK! :celebration:

Crazy.

I just couldn't help but laugh when Chris went "I'm going in there because there is a toilet to drink from." Can't remember the exact line but I'm going to go back because I am so going to put that in my signature. It deserves an honour spot.

Edit: finally found the line. It's "You can be a true hero and guzzle water out of toilets. Man, nothing makes you feel more than a super-hero than walking into one of those ruined police stations, seeing a bathroom and going 'Oh thank god, there's a toilet in there' and then go in there and drink out of it. And then you are going...'Wait a minute, I kinda feel dirty somehow, I can't really pin down why." Unfortunately it's too long so the last part had to get cut from my sig. T-T

So, the new avault podcast is up featuring an interview with Chris Avellone.

http://www.avaultpodcast.com/

Discuss :)

wow i have to say that was one of the worst podcast I've ever heard. The hosts clearly didn't even listen to Chris when they asked TWICE what New Vegas was going to look like after he explained it.

thanks to the jerk who at the very end let some voice actor names out that i have been intentionally avoiding.

Amateur show i intend to avoid in the future.

Only part that was great was Chris talking about hardcoe mode and thanking God you could find a toilet to drink from.

But I mean what can they do, 2 seconds after the interview is over 2 of them admit to never have given fallout a chance and mostly judge new vegas by the graphics

Wow..........I mean wow :shakehead:

It is disappointing that two of the guys clearly had no clue and still asked stupid questions. It was very clear that the one guy thought Chris was involved in the development of Fallout 3 with that whole line about whether this game was using ideas they had not used in Fallout 3. I'm pretty sure the other guy understood the mistake and Chris chose to interpret the question in another way, but you still cringe when people with no knowledge ask things like that.

That said, I think we have to understand that from Bethesda and Obsidian's point of view, doing a podcast is at least partially a marketing thing. So you aren't always going to get knowledgeable interviewers. We can only hope that Chris does another podcast where the hosts really know what they are talking about.

And what questions would you have them ask? Like it's been said before what else can you ask that hasn't been already? I listen to podcasts all the time and it's not the podcasters that drive me crazy, it's the people who are being interviewed. Video game developers always give the cookie cutter answers and when you try to grab info out of them they give the "can't talk about that right now" answer. I listen to this podcast all the time and feel it's the best one out there. The guys conduct more of a conversation than a interview which i enjoy more.

I'm a huge fan of Fallout and don't really care if 2 of them don't play it. Do you play every single game that is released each and every year?
