During my first run thru (only up to level 15 at which point save game corruption ended that go) I started collecting a slew of cards from vendors thinking I needed 30 to play caravan. I eventually had 30 unique cards but still couldn't play caravan.

So I ended up starting a new game and found where I missed a quest in goodpsrings where the dude in the gas station gives you a caravan deck.

So my question is, what are all the cards you can buy on vendors used for? Second question, is caravan something I can completely ignore if I desire w/o missing anything to important?

I read somewere that it brings luck but not sure if that is true

it seems there is a bug with the merchant bought cards going to your ITEMS not your card deck-, you have to place them back into a container (any container) and then retake the cards- then they will go into your deck, not in your ITEMS

then you can build you custom deck!

strange, i know, but it works!


oh- and yeah you can skip caravan, but you can really make a lot of $$$ easily if you need to from playing..

As far as I know, caravan isn't important to any quests, it's just another gambling mini game.
