How will you play Medic?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:03 pm

I'll be playing as a medic, and I'm curious to hear from you people out there, how you perceive the medic and his role, and thus how you intend on playing as one. So to make it simple, simply answer these three bullet points.

- Perception of the Medic;

- Your body-type as a Medic;

- How you intend to play as a Medic;

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Perception of the Medic; my perception of the medic is that of the most useful player on the battlefield. I don't see him as any less lethal in terms of shooting compared to other classes, but they might have an edge over him with their grenades/mines and weapon buffs. I either see him running around behind the front line, healing whoever needs it and not shooting too often, or I see him alternating between flanking the enemy and rushing across the front, healing as many as he can before disappearing again.

- Your body-type as a Medic; I'll be playing as a light.

- How you intend to play as a Medic; I intend to be the flanker that heals his team for a short period of time, before hurrying around behind the distracted team to finish them all off from the back and then return to my team, and ress whoever died while I was doing my thang.

a field medic. Staying at the frontlines and supporting teammates. Supporting teammates dealing with high profile targets, taking the quickest routes across from one part of the frontline to the other

Light

I don't tend to attempt to eliminate enemies that often. In BC2 and TF2, as a medic is one of my favourite classes, i generally keep my stronger teammates who are likely to keep enemies distracted alive the longest. Although trust me, i will not hesitate to defend myself when someone tries to kill me. That really made me mad in TF2 was teammates only caring about their kills and rushing in while i'm on about 2 health. If i heal the strongest men, then i buy time for my operatives to flank and engineers to build their stuff. Although once again, i will heal my scout standing next to me who is almost dead rather than the heavy who can fend 4 himself 4 a couple seconds.

- Perception of the Medic; I perceive the medic as the guy who is being a bit more selfless in terms of keeping people alive. I view medic as a support role rather than the guy who is running around trying to kill lots of people. The medic is the person who is there to make sure his/her team is able to complete the objectives.

- Your body-type as a Medic; Light most likely. Maybe medium but i don't think so.

- How you intend to play as a Medic; I intend to be running along in a more covert way and then doing quick dashes of opportunity to revive team mates or drop health packs.

- Perception of the Medic: Support and distraction

- Your body-type as a Medic: I'll try all combinations but I think I'll be light

- How you intend to play as a Medic: Running around behind the lines as light medic trying to buff and heal everyone who is not in combat. When I'm heavy I'll probably be found on the front lines healing people while they are in combat and trying to draw some attention to me. Ofcourse my trusty SMG will keep me alife.

First priority: Reviving. 2 team mates with 50% health are better than 1 with 100%. (Because when there are 2 you have dubbel the amount of fire rate)
Second: Buffing and Healing teammates
Third: Staying alive
Fourth: Killing

Running around killing stuff and heal myself when needed, and perhaps revive a guy if its worth my time.

I agree Nikto. There's no I in team. Sounds like a rambo medic which I hate from previous games.
