...I followed Boone around to see what he does with his day, and noticed that he steals all the food I put in the fridge! And someone, some unknown culprit, steals all the crafting supplies I have in my crafting chest. I look in Veronica's inventory and she has 5 boxes of Abraxo cleaner. WTF? What do you need those for?

It's gotten to the point where I stress over the safety of my guns, ammo, and armor. What are all the "safe" containers in the suite? That is, the ones companions won't rummage through?

Boones the worst, I follow him around going from one food location to another taking all my things.

Your post brought a laugh and a smile to me so thanks for that! I didn't notice that they go through your stuff like that however I do know they never touched my gun and ammo locker or if they did they put it back before I noticed it.

i put everything in the weapon locker in front of the bed. i never noticed them taking anything from that, or some strange disappearances.

So far, the two fridges and the two crafting supply chests I've determined to be "unsafe". Also, any food or drink I lay out on the table will immediately be gulped down by gluttonous Boone.

The Sunset Sarsparilla machine in the game room seems to be safe, as well as all containers in the master bedroom. I've yet to experiment with the bathroom and guest room.

On PC you can lock the containers: open the console, point the container and type "lock 100". That makes it require a key, so they can't get into it. Unlocking happens simply with pointing the container and using the command "unlock".

Funny they have such looting behaviour though. They don't need to eat or drink, and have unlimited ammo.

No, I still feed them. now i just put a bunch of Cram in the fridge and let them have that.

Friends don't steal food behind eachothers' backs, they ask politely.

I've seen Veronica taking food out of the 4th Wardrobe (2nd purchased) for the Master Bedroom. Took one of my 6 Absinthes, what a jerk.

I've also arrived to find Cass with all of my 20 Gauge shells in her pockets, and those were in the 1st Weapon Crate.

But I haven't seen anything done to the 2nd crate, at the foot of the bed.
