Preparing for the Eventual Outrage

This always happens, but its best I describe it before the less experienced gamers encounter. On gaming forums, especially official forums dedicated to a particulty hot and upcoming game, the members are always unyieedijgly optimistc about their new game. I'm sure you've all seen threads where people take turns declaring F:NV the greatest game of our generation. Trust me, this happens on every board. Unfortunately, this has a nasty flipside. After the game comes out, the same players will return to the forum and loudly cry out their disappointment.

You see, until you play game, it only exists in your head and the previews that inspired your imaginary gameplay. But real games are finite things full of mortal shortcomings made by mortal; developers with kimited time on this earth to perfect their craft. Technology moves fast, but not as fast as expectations. So any hour now, these boards are going to be filled with the outraged posts of people who have discovered the aforementioned shortcomings. I say to these people...

"Ha! I bought the game with a birthday gift card!"

Then I would say something wise-ish like, "Enjoy what your money has bought thee." and go back to killing Radscopions with my Ranger Sequoia.

Haha. Don't forget to add, "But why was the DLC cut from the game?! IT SHOULD BE FREE I PAID FULL PRICE!"

Yep. But do we need a thread about the future of the forum?
