Hi guys/gals. I have a question here.

So I was originally going to get F:NV on the 360, and then a friend convinced me to just pre-order it for PC, so I did.

Quickly after pre-ordering it for PC, I realised in the end I would rather have it for 360, so I sent in a cancellation request to steam support to cancel my pre-order. This was about 9 hours before the midnight release.

Steam has an absolute no refund/return policy, with the exception of games not yet released. Now here's my question: Since I put in my cancellation request BEFORE the actual release date, are they obligated to give me a refund? Or is this my fault for cancelling so late?

I don't think anyone here will get the answer spot on, but I want some opinions before I go buy it for 360 in the morning so I don't have 2 copies of the game.

Bad idea, you should have kept going with the PC version so you can access the mods.

My experience with Steam support has been good. I have actually gotten a refund on a game when it wouldn't work. Since you sent the request before the release time, I think they'll honor it. With this new Steam Wallet thing, it might get credited to your wallet though. If your PC can run New Vegas, why not go ahead and get it on PC? You'll have access to mods, and if you don't like mouse + keyboard controls, you can still use the Xbox 360 controller on the PC.

I'd say yes. But Valve has some disturbing clauses to scew over their customers
