Post » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:55 pm

Well... maybe not wasted... just delayed return on your purchase. Prior to the 1.2 patch, I was able to play for hours without a crash. There were minor bugs, but nothing serious. Then they released the 1.2 patch, which allegedly fixed a bunch of minor problems and introduced a crash to desktop problem that folks like you and me get to endure until they get around to patching it again with a version that won't crash every few minutes.

I can't really afford to buy many games and bought this one expecting that it would take me a while to beat. What I didn't expect was that I would end up just having to wait to play it, unless I want to save every 5 seconds because a crash IS imminent.

If it wasn't for the crashing, this would be a great game... Maybe just try to think of it as a pre-purchase. They spoiled my fun this month... and at this point I wish I would have picked a different game, but to try and stay positive, I just consider it a game I can play some other time.

I just realized my birthday is next week, a patch that would fix the crashes to desktop would be such an awesome birthday present! But the sooner, the better of course.

Your Turtle Beach is 8 years behind the times. I'd start there.

I fixed my CTD. In Dxdiag under "Sound" set "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" to "No acceleration". Hope this works for others.
