I need a stealth boy for the stupid bugged NCR dogs at Helios One. I've been searching every vendor, killed every Nightkin on Black Mountain and still haven't found any.

Any suggestions (apart from Repcomm because I don't want to get the DLC bug)?

iirc you can kill the dogs guarding the terminal with no rep loss, you're meant to kill them

Same here. However, your companions can take them out with no negative consequences.

or one could just go in, quickly approach the terminal, enter the password and get out afterwards, while just taking the occasional bite of the dogs.
you won't lose more than 10 hp, so wasting a stealth boy on this occasion seems to be quite silly.
still, the op question remains valid. i'm about 20 hours into the game, and haven't found more than 2 of them so far

If you're running pre-patch I believe one respawns every 3 days in a footlocker at the abandoned BoS bunker by Forlorn Hope.

So they patch respawning Stealth Boys, but not save file corrupting uber-bugs? Wow.

its a temporary bandaid while they work on the bigger and therefore more time consuming issues

I know there is one in the school house in goodsprings when you start, I think its in a safe IIRC. There is a mission you do for the crimson caravan where you will definitely need a stealthboy.

As much as I hate to say it. I just don't remember where I got them from. I have around 15-20 total but only keep 1, maybe 2 on-hand. the rest back at the Novac hotel room in the safe. I just haven't NEEDED them yet worth a damn.

Well, the one time I probably should have... along the 'fly away' or whatever quest. When dealing with all the invisible nightkin. I just killed the ghoul for speed

I have found 15-20 of them in my 40 hours. Though, I can't say exactly where. Alot off of Nightkins.
