I would like to be able to get the NCR and the BOS to ally for the coming battle (or any other alliances remain possible). Is that possible if I don't join the BOS? McNamara will be Elder but so far, I haven't joined any factions, only helped them. I'm trying to keep a good rep without joining anything. My rep is very good, Idolized and Liked and Accepted except for the Legion and PowderGangers. I've really been walking the line here. I'm thinking this choice makes a difference later and it may be an important crossroads. Do I join the BOS or will the NCR change their minds about me? Thanks.

The NCR will not respond to you joining the BOS. This might actually be required in order to get the NCR/BOS alliance.

it'll be ok to join both factions so long as you dont go to an ncr base with brotherhood t51b on and about the alliance its s long as your on an ncr playthrough and mcnamaras still elder nothing else affects it really
