I have seen many topics about this problem already, but I haven't seen any solutions?? What do I need to do?
I have tried my laptop and now I'm at boyfriends PC (which is better than my laptop) All the other games (including Fallout 3) works fine, but New Vegas just stops!! I'm still in Goodsprings, and I have played for 3 hours already.

This is not fun at all. What are Bethesda going to do about it?

Are we just going to be OK with a game not working on our PC, when all the other games do?

Could you please post a dxdiag (64-bit if you have a 64-bit OS).
Where are you crashing exactly?
When did this start?
Are you using mods?
drivers? etc

The game is 32bit. What good does the 64bit dxdiag do?

A dxdiag posts nothing about the fallout 3 new vegas game. It does however post lots of useful info about drivers codecs etc.
64-bit OSs use 64-bit drivers and most 32-bit dxdiags have trouble posting info about these.

I wasn't aware that only volunteers "run" this forum, but I'm hoping they see it anyway. It's my first time having any problems with games, so pretty new to these issues

This is from my laptop (I play other games on it as well. They work fine) We have also tried to run the game on my boyfriends computer (stationary) it has the same problem there. Crashes after 10 or so minutes. I am aware that playing on laptops can cause more difficulties than playing on stationary. That is why we also tried on my bf comp, but it has the same problem.

Where are you crashing exactly? Every 10 minutes.
When did this start? The first time I played it two days ago.
Are you using mods? No mods.
drivers? etc Drivers updated.

If your hoping bethesda will do any kind of troubelshooting help on these forums think again. They read the forums but this isnt the official avenue for that.
With that said, your video card drivers are not up to date and you need to check your sound card driver aas well as those for your motherbgoard.

So you can successfully load a game?
Try a clean boot to windows.

I also notice the ffdshow codec is installed you need to disable it or remove it.
There are issues with fallout 3 nv and that codec.

I don't know what happened, but I have managed to play for two hours (on medium mode) until it stopped!!

So far, I can load a game without any troubles.

Ok, I will try what you also suggested here.
I keep you posted how it goes. I've just started, so we see how far it takes me.
