I refused to choose any perks in the beginning

TRAITS* woops

I didnt feel any of them had enough of a benefit over the amount of hindrance...

Did you pick any?... if so, which ones...

You mean traits?

I like Built to Destroy and Kamikaze.

Those were traits, not perks.

I'm leaning Wild Wasteland and something as yet undecided.

I think you mean traits instead of perks.

Same here, I decided to wait and see how this character pans out. I have it set to the hardcoe and I am really curious how I end up making this character... I like the fact that the perks come with a negative side too, so far. Are they all like that?

Kamikaze and small frame. As for the negatives, that is how it was in FO1 and 2. Probably the thing I missed the most in FO3. I wish there was more options for them in NV, but I will take what I can get.

Unfortunately I never played the original Fallouts. So this system is totally new for me but I like it.

I selected Wild Wastelands because I love the humor, and Good Natured, since I intend to focus only on Guns, so the pros outweighed the cons.

Is it possible to ad the traits later? Or do I have to wait until I level up?

I'm fairly certain it's a character creation choice only.

I went just with Wild Wasteland, just because I want to see what kinds of humour it....... oh, screw it, I just wanted the Holy Frag Grenade. I considered Small Frame, but considering I want to at least make a fair run at a hardcoe playthrough, I didn't want to make my limbs easier to cripple. :\

Oh, and just as a reminder, you get to recreate your character before you venture too far from Goodsprings, just like in Fallout 3, so you can reselect your perks/traits/etc after playing around a bit if you like.

Playing on hardcoe, wanted all the extra traits I could get that could prove helpful for survival :)

Good Natured (+5 BAR/MED/REP/SCI -5 EW/EXP/GUNS/MELEE/UNARMED)
Small Frame (AGL +1, What limbs!?)

Seemed like decent tradeoffs for the mainly stealth style of character I play, especially considering the additional affects AGL has in NV.

I chose Good Natured and Four Eyes myself. Mainly because I enjoy wearing eye wear anyway, so might as well get a boon for it.

I thought about picking that one too so I could wear my sunglasses at night :disco:

I'd consider Four Eyes if I could get confirmation on whether or not helmets that occupy the same slot count.
