Wow. This is ridiculous

Post » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:47 pm

I ordered the ce with over a month ago with day of release shipping and it still hasn't shipped and still says it's being delivered today. And I called them and they said that it Gould still be jere today but it's ridiculous that it still hasn't shipped. If it doesn't come today them I'm definitely calling and complaint and getting a rebate because this is bull. People who ordered the ce from amazon like 2 days ago have had their items shipped or received but I ordered a month ago and am a prime member and got day of release shipping and it still hasn't been shippe

I suggest you contact Amazon with your complaint. If it comes today however, they met their delivery date.

Yeah but it would be a miracle if it did. I mean the post office stops running around 6 or so and it still hasn't left the facility and stuff always ships to mr from Tennessee so to ship itfrom there and deliver it to my house in 6 hours would be pretty impressive

It'll come. Amazon has never done me wrong on a pre-order. Don't worry.

It should come UPS. That is how Amazon ships most things that are pre-ordered. I've gotten UPS deliveries as late as 10pm.

If it makes you feel better, I was worried about the same thing, but then at around 9 pm last night I got the e-mail that it had shipped from Kentucky (I live in Texas). First thing I did after waking up this morning was check the tracking number, and it says it's out for delivery. Amazon is pretty quick about shipping when they want to be. I have a Prime membership also.

Not sure where you live, but Fedex or UPS aren't going to make your small package a priority. They'll usually deliver the larger stuff to people in the morning and small stuff later in the day so I don't think you'll be seeing your game till noon in most cases it'll arrive near 4 PM but could come earlier.

Shipping routes are EXTREMELY tricky. They travel from the origin, to a local hub, then generally to a regional hub, from there to another local hub, then go out for delivery. Your package is probably wrapped in a palllet with packages going all over your state when it's mid transit. Your location in relation to your local hub will determine when you get your package based on the truck route. I usually get my FedEx packages by noon at the latest, but I'm generally lucky if I see UPS before 6pm. If I lived 20 miles east, I'd have the exact opposite experience.

Best experience I had was with the World of Warcraft expansion. I ordered release date delivery for that, and they used the wrong address ( an old one I had deleted from my profile about 3 weeks before). I found this out when I checked tracking. I called Amazon, they called FedEx, and I'm not sure which company is the one with the awesome customer service but between the two of them it was rerouted in time for me to get it that day.

it's funny, People always blame the supplier like Amazon for the product for being late.

Once the product has left the warehouse it's beyond the suppliers control and goes into the couriers responsibility and yet people blame the supplier who cannot do anything.....funny..

Not here anything I order from Amazon (all comes by UPS here) if its not here by 7pm thats it the cut off time for deleiveres is 7pm for me.

I think it depends on your location, just like I am sure some bestbuy`s in some parts of the country was open at midnight, it wouldnt suprise me if there wasnt atleast one.

Oh fedex is just plain bad in my opinion. When I had my $1200 laptop custom built it was being shipped to my Address by Fed-ex, address was right but what did they do It says it required a signature but yet when checking online it said in transit waiting and next refresh it said "Delievered" but yet no truck here no package I looked into it someone not even with the same last nor first name as me signed for the package one street over. Fed ex said that they will send a truck out to get it but might not get to it tomorrow. I am like thats a [censored] $1200 laptop that you ignorant fools deleievered to the wrong address and even let someone sign for it that wasnt even with the same last name as who it was for on the package.

I ended up walking over there and thankfully the package was un opened.

But I have had more bad experiances with Fed-ex than UPS and I throughly enjoy UPS, I know the guy seeing as he has deleivered many restoration parts ive order for my car and hes usually doing deleiveries on my street between 4pm to 7pm if its not there by 7 expect it the next day.

Ok, I can understand if you live far away, but why would you pre-order and then rely on it being shipped to you when you could have just walked to the store?

Same here with Best Buy, and I was like the OP; pre-ordered the CE over a month ago. This best buy I ordered from is literally only an hour away, I just want it shipped so as to not waste any gas. I need money to go home during campus holidays and such. I wanted to play today too. Guess its time to reboot Fallout 1 and 2 for a bit...

In all fairness, if you don't get the game on the 22nd, you'll probably be complaining too. (And by "you," I mean the collective "you" for everyone whose release date is the 22nd, not you personally. :P)

No offense, but I hate threads titled like this. They don't express a single topic or thought and instead require you to click into them to read what they are about.

I've had packages arrive that the tracking still listed as "preparing to ship" or some such so it's possible it just wasn't scanned properly on the way out. If you paid for 'day of' delivery and you don't get it you should be able to get a refund - although it does depend on what delayed it on their end and what guarantees were actually made. If something was backordered and wasn't actually "guaranteed" to arrive by a certain date you may be out of luck.
