I got a "Ripper" added to my inventory went I got the "Remenants Armor". Here is the weird part. It is in my weapons list in the Pipboy, but if I try to put it in a storage box it is not in my inventory list. Here is the best part, if I drop it it's text is red and it it titled "Steal". So anyone else have this happen?

Weird, probably just a glitch. Drop it in a trash can and it probably won't happen again.

One trick to try with inventory issues, mostly related to counts, but it might work here, if you want to keep the thing, is...

Drop everything on the floor, preferably not on top of a rug as things sometimes drop under the rug, and completely clear the inventory, even your clothes on your back. Then pick it all back up again.

I'm not sure of the source of the Ripper that showed in my Pipboy inventory; but it did not appear in the transfer menu when I activated a container. When I dropped the Ripper my activation cursor would show it as a Ripper; but I could not take it back into inventory. I could move it with the Z key.

Arcade has a unique Ripper that is flagged with the "Can't Drop" flag. Possible you accidentally got his Ripper through a bug?

There are apparently a couple of places where you can end up with Companion unique equipment.

I remember a modder mentioning something about Arcade's ripper that he thought might cause bugs. I think it was Tarrant, who works on Phalanx.

I think I had this bug too, but I just dropped the ripper and didn't think twice about it since I had more than I could carry at that point anyway (getting two suits of power armor as a quest reward is kind of mean, don't you think?).

Perhaps that was the source of my ripper, as I recently completed Arcade's quest and switched to another companion. I took back all the gear I had given him before we parted ways.
