This may be a stupid dumb question but I have to ask...... Where can I download the latest patch/update for New Vegas?? I tried the website and tried finding it on Google but I have nothing. please reply

That is because it doesn't exist, see:

You should have game version 1.2.0.285 (check the FalloutNV.exe file version number).

or open the game launcher, select play, then in the main menu select settings then display and the current version will be in the lower left corner.

Well I'm not sure with this version but I have version 1.2.14.0

That's the Launcher. You want to look at the main executable. FalloutNV.exe instead of FalloutNVLauncher.exe.

Okay, make sure you are online and logged into your Steam account. Go to the Library, right click the Fallout: New Vegas entry and select Properties (at the bottom).

Choose the Updates tab and make sure the selection box says "Always keep this game up to date". Choose Close. If it doesn't start to download the patch right away, then open the Steam menu and exit the program. Restart Steam and it should start downloading the patch.
