[REQ] Three ports of graphic mod of F3

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:30 am

Hello!
I come here for ask for porting some interesting mods to NV. I'm a bit dissapointed with the graphic aspect of NV, well no the most important of the game, but who don't want to get better image quality?
The mods that are nice for port will be:

- Motion Blur and Depth of Field Modular OR ImageSpace Unleashed
http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7132 OR http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2098
Could make things like that: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/7132-2-1245325330.jpg
There are small esm files (like 3kb) but no idea how to port it, but I think that it could not be difficult, and results are nice!

- HQ Textures pack from F3. Nice results, some of them:

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12056
http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,669915/Fallout-3-Hi-res-pictures-of-the-HD-texture-pack/News/
http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6341
http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4457
http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=442
Maybe most of them not compatible, maybe some has textures for same elements of NV (rocks, roads, etc) and are compatible. NV uses the same naming for textures than F3?.

- Landscape LOD (this one if from Oblivion, but I meant the technique):
http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18497
I dislike the LOD system of NV, the far textures of the terrain are ugly. With this technique, these textures could be better!

What you think about?

Texture packs should be instantly transferable, however keep in mind they wont touch any NV unique objects, so anything new would probably look way out of place.

Yeah that's pretty handy. Which is why I'm now going to try http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3194 ;)

Unless they changed the texture file names and locations, but I doubt that as it looks like they basically just took Fallout 3 and got to work on NV.

Yeah tons of stuff is still the same. I managed to get the animation replacer Fallout 3 Re-animated working too, without any extra work.

Of course it does have some glitches because some weapon animations in NV are different, but the point is that pretty much anything pluginless from FO3 can be transferred to NV if NV also uses it.

And what about the other two mods? (The DOF/Blur one and LOD one)

For texture replacers I always liked http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=274 and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9793. I would also love to get something like http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1789 for New Vegas, but I will have to wait/hope that someone makes it. http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/3548/screenshot1yq.png is what they look like together. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/1789-1-1279585780.jpg

I think the DOF/Blur mod effects are more important the the texture ones. Any mod maker or anybody with knowledge about modding could give a watch to these mods and the probability of porting it?

btw, 4aces will release texture pack: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1129324-4aces-full-texture-upgrade/
