Does this happen to anyone else, every time i leave the gomorrah casino the loading screen shows up, completes and then turns into a black screen, there is still music and background noise, i cant cant continue my game im stuck in the casino, this game just releases and it has so many bugs, i really hope they fix this, im looking forward to the game brink but if this sh*t keeps happening im not going to waist my time with bethesda anymore.

I had this problem last night near the river. I was fighting some Legionnaires and every time I would look at them the screen would go black. I had to shut down the PS3 before it would stop.

I also very occasionally get the black screens. The most recent was when i was fighting Cook-Cook, whenever i looked in his direction, BAM, black screen. It stopped happening after a few times though.

mine does it whenever I try to even get into The Strip...same load screens then black...I've only been to The Strip once and I cant go back to it without it giving the black screen....

yeah im having the same problem as you. ive tried everthin i can think of to try and find away around it but nothin seems to work. And ive try it over 10 times now.

It's not just the cost of the game that bothers me - it's what it's going to cost to replace the window when my husband finally decides to throw the whole mess through it!

We've downloaded the update - no joy. Rebooting makes no difference either. Am going to try disconnecting the internet as recommended by others on the forum, but find it difficult to understand why this should make a difference. I've also seen a couple of posts here and on the xbox section regarding this being related to McCoy's hat, but that quest is finished and we don't have the hat so not that

Very disappointed in the FAQ - given the high volume of complaints regarding freezing, you'd think there would be something in there - even if it's just "we know, we're working on it". Not just a recommended to reboot. And if you try to put a comment when you click on "this was not helpful".... you get an error.

Someone in Bethesda been throwing black cats through ladders at mirrors?

I started getting a black screen when entering one of the areas, don't remember which one now, but I don't think it matters cuz I'm seeing that it's happening in a lot of different places...

That makes me think it's just a random graphics glitch of some kind... some are getting it at the strip, others elsewhere, mine was not in any of the places mentioned above...

My 'black screen experience' was so bad I could not see anything on the screen no matter what I did unless I looked straight down at the ground and the bad part was something was
attacking me and I died cuz I couldn't see where to shoot back.... lol

This happened after only a couple of hours of playing the new game.. I noticed there were a bunch of 'search lights' around the area right before I went in there... and then black screen..

I reloaded my last save (thank heavens I saved just before going in there...) and it finally went away... but man what a bug for a brand new game???

I get a black screen once in a while, but it quits the game and goes to the XMB.

black screen when trying to enter the strip...always.i tried a million times with a million different ways.

well i got out of the casino finally and guess what now i cant even get into the strip but no surprise cause iv seen so many people with the same problem, i just think with a game that has a HUGE fan base u would make sure the most wanted game in the series is perfect, but it is far from it,also im getting this weird green ora around dead enemies and items, also the game sum times freezes for1-2 seconds i just want to be able to enjoy my $60 not being disapointed, if anyone is having the same problems let me know.

Do you have the cyberdog rex? The companion perk you get from it highlights objects and enemies that are carrying objects you dont have.

If you can still "play" the game when it goes black (ie, not a freeze or crash, just graphics) try lowering the resolution
(Settings >> Display Settings >> Video Output settings) to a non HD resolution (svcks but it seams to be working) My game would go black every 5 ~ 15 minutes, but when I changed this to 480 it stopped altogether.
