Ok, I'm new here and not sure if this is allowed or if this has been asked yet (I've looked around and not found it) but I pre-ordered from Walmart a cuple of weeks ago , and they say it will arrive on the date that it releases. I've never pre-ordered before, and I was wondering about the shipping. I'm gone for most of the day, and want it on teh day it arrives, so I'm curious as to how they ship. Does anyone know how reliant they are with the shipping times? and does anyone know how they ship? Is it to the door delivery, or do they drop it off in the mailbox? any help is appreciated, thanks!

In a truck. It should say on the fed ex site. Just put in the tracking number and it will tell you everything. Mine is at the local fed ex site and will be delivered by 4:30 pm tomorrow.

Why would you by a game at Wallmart?

Why not? it had the pack that I liked the most, It shipped to me the day of the release, and Walmart offered a discount. If walmart is wrong I don't want to be right.

I heard about that. I'm pretty sure its just a glitch. Some pre-ordered and has it saying that it won't be there until the 27th, and when they ordered a second it said it would come in on the correct date. Either way that svcks, my parents once pre-ordered a harry potter book from walmart, and it didn't come in until after we got tired and bought a new one at the store.

What? Walmart buys products from other countries (so does every store I know of besides maybe restaurants) but Walmart provides alot of jobs, and I'd prefer to not go down this line of conversation, this isn't what my thread is about, please don't try to start an argument or shoot random accusations about.

Fedex will drop it off at your door. They don't need you to sign for it so it will be there when you get home

so my official review of walmart's preorder system.
1: it works, and the game is amazing, been playing it for the last hour
2. actually got the game
3. It came in on time

Those are the pro's

Here are the Con's:
1: they send it to the front door and leave it there, meanign that any jo shmo could just walk bye and pick it up
2: Poor customer service, they deliver through Fedex and its a mess
3: Bugs in the system (according to them i haven't gotten it yet :mellow:)
4: They messed up my game. It came in, and firs thing I noticed were smudges. I cleaned it, hoping it was just a simple smudge, no biggy. I put it into the system AND! Disk cannot be read. The smudge is in between the top layer of the CD and the bottom. TO be able to get a new copy would be a mess, not to mention that my mother would never agree to this again, and If my none of my friends had it, I would be furious right now, demanding compensation for this horrible thing. I will NEVER order by mail again. On a positive note, everyone I know has this game, and thanks to The Xbox I can install from their CD and use mine (it was able to read it after several minutes of cleaning) to play.

I don't know how reliable it is. I preordered the regular edition w/ caravan pack over the weekend and it shipped out the 18th. On Walmart.com it says that it should be here the 26th - 28th but in 2 days it already went from CT to NY and now it's in my local area, so I should probably get it tomorrow.

They will find a way to deliver it to you on the date that's posted. I sent in some headphones that broke back to Amazon and within a couple days it was in San Fransisco, so I'm like cool I'm gonna get them back faster then I thought. Next day I check and they're in Kentucky. -_- Went from being an hour away to the complete opposite side of the country. I didn't get them back early either. Day they posted the estimated return date as

Walmart does not have any control over the cons you listed.

1: Every shipper does this, UPS, FedEX, USPS, DHL, etc. Unless it requires a signature, they all just drop it at my door, knock and leave.
2: You paid 97 cents for overnight shipping and you're complaining about who it was shipped with?
3: That's a bug in FedEX's tracking system, not Walmart
4: Walmart didn't package the game, and they didn't open it up and put smudges on the disk.

If the disk is bad and you have a local Walmart store, just take it in and exchange it.
