Pinto Beans?

Post » Sat Apr 09, 2011 4:27 am

I put this in spoilers because I don't want to ruin someones New Vegas experience by accidentally showing them where the pinto bean pods are. Anyways I've been playing for over 80 hours, thus far I've been unable to make the mole rat stew because I need pinto bean pods, yet I haven't ever seen them for sale, or growing anywhere. Does anyone know where to find these things?

If you are right about this, you are the most awesome person ever, and a Fallout God.

Nice profile pic too. Omg if you're real that means girls play New Vegas!?!? Lol. B)

Try Westside co-op shop.

Tried there multiple times, they've never had any in my game. Its crazy how hard some of the ingrediants are to find in this game.

Good grief, I am on my 3rd character and I didn't even realise that pinto bean pods existed  I'm now on a mission to find some... And while I'm at it I'm going to check the wiki to see if there's anything else I've missed :shakehead:

I found a few growing out in the wild near Cottonwood Cove and the Lakelurks.

Sharecroppers have 2 greenhouses entirely devoted to pinto beans. I walked out of there with like 50 pods and didn't even know they were used in anything.

The wiki hadn't previously had the location of any pinto beans listed, thats why I was asking here.

Confirmed that there are hundreds of pods to be found inside the NCR Sharecropper farms. Taking them is considered stealing but doesn't result in karma loss. I've updated the wiki so maybe others will be able to use it as a resource and not be lost in the dark like I was. I was beginning to doubt their existance in the game for a while. :D

Cheers to everyone that showed me where to go, now I'm off to craft a collossal amount of mole rat stew.

Thanks from me also, I now have more than I know what to do with!

The ownership of those plants in the greenhouses is very strange, some of them are owned and some aren't, but as Kiln notes, no karma loss from taking the owned ones.

Yeah, that's where I found them too, mixed in with the Lakelurks south of Cottonwood Cove. Very south end of the Colorado River.
