i dont know if it is a bug or what but i never encountered victor and found that he was already dead before i left the first town

should i restart the game or is he not very important (i am about 8hrs in now)

He's a recurring character with hints of importance.

Also, what the hell killed him!? This happened in my game, too (though after I first met him, but prior to finding out anything much about him). The random death of NPCs is one of the things I really dislike about gamesas games:/

I've seen the random statement "Victor has been knocked unconscious" as I watched him get killed by a deathclaw north of Sloan...it was rather funny. But when I got to the strip and Lucky 38 there he was in all of his zombie robot glory.

I personally think he's a mobile Mr. House. Seeing how robots impersonating humans has carried out since FO1...I'm not trusting him.

This is my theory as well. I'm avoiding him more often than not.
