Is it just me,
or did THAT wind sprint through the Howitzer Bombardment svck!

Good Lord!
I shot through 6 doctor bags, 25 or more stimpacks, 8 or more super stimpacks,
and 2 stealth-boys in less then 2 minutes!

That little jog was INSAIN!
If it had not smashed my aid supply so hard, I might have enjoyed it more.
I tell you one thing, those "folks" got skills on the BIG GUNS!
I was literally Chasing after bouncing dead bodies half way thru the ordeal!
I am just glad I made my companions “wait” or it would have been Impossible!

WOW!
I was rung out Just playing it!
At least it was accurate!

Well done programmers, well done!
Ya bunch of sickos...

I loved that artillery strike. Now I love the Boomers and they love me. We are like family. (But I still take the tonnes of combat armour they have stored in the hangars :ninja:)

I just used 1 doc bag and 3 sass. The trick is to find a spot they cant shell and wait till just before a shelling ends to then rush to the gate.

If you take the bet with that guy he gives you a system to run through. The two houses on the left, run in, hide in corner, wait till they stop, then repeat, then mad dash for the gate.

I just ran in and went left to the first natural outcropping of rocks and hid tight in the corner for the first bombardment until it stopped then ran to the second natural outcropping of rocks and hid again for the second bombardment. After that I ran to the gate. Took no damage. The shells would hit close by, but my companions didnt seem to get hurt either, and they were standing in the open watching the fireworks.

Yeah, well,

I was not there to "meet the locals".
I was there on a search and rescue mission.
So, I had to spend a little more time running “to and fro” in the “Hot Zone”!

Once I found what I was looking for, the locals,
Were simply closer then running home,
and I JUST - WANTED - IT - TO - STOP!

Oh yeah, did I mention that my 3000 cap armor was completely distroyed!

Lol! I was on that little mission too, until I figured "sod it" and ran over to speak to them just so as they would stop trying to kill me. Can't believe you managed to find "it" before dying - I know I wouldn't have, congrats!

I didn't use any stims at all, just keep to cover and you're fine. Hint: note the direction they're firing from, if you're covered on top and towards them you're mostly okay, might take a little splash that's all.

This is how I got in with my companions (Lily & Rex).

0. Manually Save the game.
1. Just outside the zone, wait for the companion to catch up.
2. Wait out the first salvo.
3. Stick to the mountain side on the left side like glue. Walk just slow enough for the companion to stay up.
4. Don't stop, keep moving until you get to the chain link fence.
5. You or the companion could get hurt but nobody should go unconscious. Reload from save game if they go unconscious.
6. The bombardment will stop once you get to the chain link fence.
7. Walk along the fence to the gate.

Even after I got them to love me and agree to join NCR in the final battle they still will shoot at any NCR person. I had a summoned ranger out when I was looking for the dead BoS and they fired at us until she was dead. Funny thing is if you wait 24 hours and come back that npc will rez and get shelled again and again.

Ouch you prob got either really unlucky or you didn't run the correct path.
If you read the note the guy gives you before you run you find out that running the North-Western pass from the side of the area is the safest way to do it.
Popped a med-x and just ran it. Only got scratched a bit towards the end and didn't even get crippled
Im a :ninja:

I got the note about the 'running pattern', figured it wasn't a good idea to stop in the middle, so just pointed my nose in the right direction, and just ran for it without any breaks, past all the buildings etc.

The only trouble was when a shell hit a car wreck behind me, causing it to go nuclear (sorry, nucular) and taking away a quarter of my health. The rest, easy sailing.

Healed it away with an Iguana on a stick and Dirty water. Wouldn't want to waste a Stimpack or chem (that's for selling) on such a trivial thing.

And, you guys are just casually "moseying right on through"...

:swear:
I question the married status of your parents when you where born!
