Don't get it - please explain.....

In fallout 2, in the town of Klamath, there was a "haunted crash site" where you could find the remains of a broken vertibird and a robot I believe.

Events related to the Vertibird

* In 2241, one crashed near the trapper town of Klamath and was the first sign of the Enclave encountered by the Chosen One.

Sheesh, she walked away from that? I don't think the rest of her squad was so lucky. I distinctly remember two charred bodies and a malfunctioning Mr. Handy. Looks like someone is getting a de-merit.
