How To Kill Ederiath Vrastal

Post » Tue Apr 12, 2011 4:13 am

Hi All

I am on "A Path Of Iron" quest and collecting Heaven's Fury armour pieces as told to do. I collected 5 pieces of the armour from various places and came to Lipsand Tarn for the last piece. I cleaned the place except for the vampiress boss, Ederiath Vrastal. However she is extremely difficult and i couldn't kill her after a fight of 40 minutes. I have a 30 level Breton character mainly relies on magic. As she is a vampiress, i mainly attack her with fire and conjure creatures that attack with fire but she is still standing. I don't want to use console command to kill her and i want to learn if she has a weakness which makes her easier to be killed.

Thanks

I find her to be one of the most difficult "bosses" in OOO. Maybe as difficult as Ancient Lord Volmyr.

As I recall she has tons of restore health potions. The best thing seem to be to just hit real hard. A strong weapons is probably better then magic. But if you use destruction probably best to use lost of high level fire spells.

I have not checked here stats, and haven't fought her in a while, but as I recall she may not be immune to poisons. So that could help a lot. But I do remember that battle taking a very long time.

(BTW, since this is OOO specific I'll ask to have this moved from the Cheats, Hints Spoilers to the Mods forum)

You'll probably want to ask http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1159607-oscuros-oblivion-overhaul-spoilers-thread-28//.

Are you using any Magic overhauls? You might not be able to put out enough damage quick enough to take her down. I've never tried to take her on with a magic-based character, but I'm playing a sort of a spellsword right now who uses a lot of on-touch spells along with melee and it wasn't even a fight. I fought her at level 28 with a fire-enchanted two-handed sword. My AR is maxed at 85 and I'm using a bunch of Resist/Reflect Magic gear. She couldn't even make a dent in me. It does take a while to get her health bar to start moving.

I don't remember the details of Lipsand Tarn, but if there are any traps nearby use them to your advantage.

After sending my post here, i returned the game and killed Ederiath Vrastal with console command. When i checked her body i found a few healing potions. In a video that i watched on Youtube, a guy killed vampiress in a short time with minimizing the difficulty slider and when he checked her body there were lots of healing potions on her. I mainly fought the vampiress with the strategy of climbing up somewhere high in a room and casting fire spells+conjuring creature, because my character is not very good at close combat although he is level 30. Time to time, she was coming in and going out of the room that i was in and obviously she was using the healing potions on her when she goes out. Anyway, i reloaded the game, fought with her for about 5 more minutes and she died. It was my (compulsory) strategy which prolonged the fight.

Thanks for the answers

Speak with lots of continuous damage and carry a very powerful sharp stick.
